The word “picturesque” is used to describe places that look good in a picture, and there are few locations in Miami that are more picturesque than Vizcaya. We are proud to provide the setting for souvenir snapshots, personal portraits, and commercial photography and film shoots. The menu of photographic options available at Vizcaya is described below.

Personal Photography
Visitors to Vizcaya are welcome to take photographs or videos in the gardens only. Photographs and videos are not permitted in the Main House or the Café and Shop for the benefit of other visitors and to protect our collections. The Vizcaya Café and Shop offers photographs, postcards, videos, and other materials that abundantly illustrate the interiors of the Main House.

Personal Photography Portraits 
Personal photography permits are required for individuals who wish to use our facility as the setting or backdrop for personal photo portraits, including weddings,quinceañeras, couples, or groups. Permits allow photography outside of the Main House only and are sold at our ticket booth from 9:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m, daily (except Dec. 25).

The fee is $125 plus 7% sales tax and provides admission to the gardens only for up to 6 people, including the photographer. There is a $15 fee for each additional person over the initial group of 6. Vizcaya welcomes its personal photo clients to return and enjoy the Museum under more relaxed circumstances by providing 2 complimentary guest passes for each permit purchased

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2010, NO PERSONAL PHOTO PORTRAIT SHOOTS WILL BE PERMITTED AT VIZCAYA.

WE ARE HOSTING AN ANNUAL LUNCHEON TO BENEFIT VIZCAYA ON THAT DATE.

Commercial Still Photography and Filming Permits
Permits are required for commercial still photography and filming OUTSIDE ONLY by advance reservation.

• Still Photography  Fee: $2,500 plus 7% sales tax per day (8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.).  
• Filming Fee:  $20,000 plus 7% sales tax per day (8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.).

Certificate of Insurance for Public Liability Insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000 combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage is required.  Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, 3251 South Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida 33129, must be named as additionally insured.  Please fax this documentation to 305-285-2004.

Major film and television shoots are approved on a case-by-case basis after submitting detailed request in writing.
